Alekz Londos is the owner of Advanced Disaster Relief. Throughout many missions, he witnessed the unimaginable widespread destruction of catastrophic man-made and natural disasters. He is extremely concerned with the egotism, greed, and lack of compassion of both people and corrupt corporations that are contributing to the destructive impact of industrialized nations. We are all witnessing the rapid disruption and alteration of our planet’s biosphere, yet are still carelessly wasting resources and destroying the Earth's fragile ecosystems. The exponential rate of man-made climate change is the collective result of our repetitive selfish actions, over-consuming society, and profit-based, consumerist world economy wasting resources and destroying our Earth's fragile ecosystems. Inherently, we have the responsibility to take initiative in being educated and supportive of our transition towards an ecologically-sustainable global society.

Alekz began writing this book in 2008, when immediate global action became apparent. This is an educational text of his knowledge, experience, and attempt to present society with compelling solutions to the challenges we all face. He details a wide range of subjects that will not only benefit those working in emergency services and government-appointed positions, but also the general public.

About the Author

Alekz Londos is the owner of Advanced Disaster Relief. He has independently provided international disaster relief support and immediate medical care to critical areas before the military and multinational organizations arrived. These projects involved search and rescue, body recovery, psychological debriefing, debris removal, risk mitigation, and rebuilding infrastructures. He has self-deployed to hazmat cleanups, lightning storms, wildfires, floods, sinkholes, landslides, snowstorms, car accidents, and a commuter train crash. He was in New Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Philippines during the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan, Hurricane Gustav in 2008, as well as Hurricanes Isaac and Sandy in 2013. He also went tornado chasing in Oklahoma in 2013. During the peak of the Ebola Outbreak in 2014, he persevered through Ghana. During the Nepal earthquake aftermath of 2015, he lived in the epicenter for a month on his own while treating medical patients and helping the community recover. He went to Erbil, Iraq in 2016, where he brought supplies to the Peshmerga military, distributed medical aid to the clinics, and volunteered in Syrian refugee camps
